Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on January 1st, 1992, with a view to merge the Dubai Electricity Company and the Dubai Water Department, both of which had been operating independently before then. With full support from the Dubai Government, the Company has been providing continuous and reliable supply of electricity and water to the citizens of Dubai. Over the years, DEWA has made considerable achievements and has also been ranked as one of the best utilities in the world. The company offers its services to over 760,000 happy customers. The company showed a customer satisfaction rate of more than 94% in 2015, which is testament of its commitment towards its customers. With a vision to create a sustainable innovative world-class utility, DEWA launched the Solar Park in 2012 as a step towards creating a better world.
