An IT Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems within an organization. This position involves managing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems to support the company's IT infrastructure. An IT Technician is responsible for maintaining computers, servers, and other technology-related equipment, alongside providing technical support to staff. Individuals in this role are expected to work diligently to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently while maintaining a high level of user satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, an aptitude for technology, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals for end-users.
• Provide technical support and training to users on various systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system functionality.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, software, and licenses accurately.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Perform regular maintenance of IT equipment to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with technical staff to resolve critical hardware or software issues.
• Document and update technical procedures and user guides as necessary.
• Assist in the setup and support of company-wide meetings and events.
• Monitor system performance and perform system upgrades as required.
• Maintain backup systems and manage data recovery processes.
• Support the deployment and management of network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an IT Technician or a similar role is required.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Familiarity with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems is advantageous.
