Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods across designated routes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, and fluid levels, to prevent breakdowns on the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driving hours, and vehicle maintenance in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to weight limits to prevent damage and ensure safety.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in truck driving or logistics are a plus.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record, demonstrating a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving large trucks, with a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and state-specific transportation laws.
