Position Overview
The Queen Elizabeth II Hotel in Dubai is hiring a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations, hygiene standards, and food safety compliance across all F&B areas. The role involves ensuring proper organization of stores, adherence to HACCP standards, and coordination with kitchen and engineering teams to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Core Duties
- Supervise cleaning processes and ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in F&B areas
- Organize and maintain cleanliness of all storage areas, including shelves, chillers, and freezers
- Monitor and record storage temperatures, promptly reporting any irregularities to Engineering and the Chief Steward
- Adhere strictly to HACCP procedures to safeguard food safety and quality
- Support the issuing of food items to F&B outlets and kitchens based on authorized requisitions
- Oversee cleaning staff, ensuring correct use of equipment and chemicals
- Maintain proper documentation for hygiene inspections and daily operations
- Report activities, incidents, and updates to the Chief Steward on a regular basis
Desired Candidate Profile
Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality is required
High school diploma or equivalent; food safety or hospitality certifications are an advantage
Strong understanding of HACCP principles, sanitation practices, and hygiene compliance
Knowledge of cleaning processes, equipment, and safe chemical usage
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Physically fit to handle tasks involving standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-demand operations
Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping procedures
