Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Steel Fabrication Review and interpret approved shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and specifications Coordinate with fabrication workshops for cutting, welding, drilling, and assembly Ensure fabrication works comply with project specifications, codes, and standards Monitor material usage, wastage control, and production schedules Coordinate with QA/QC for WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, and inspection requests Steel Erection Plan and supervise steel erection activities on site Coordinate lifting plans, crane operations, and erection sequences Ensure proper alignment, leveling, bolting, and welding of structural members Verify erection tolerances and structural stability during installation Coordinate with safety team to ensure safe lifting and work-at-height practices Site Coordination & Management Liaise with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors Prepare daily progress reports and update construction schedules Resolve site technical issues and provide engineering solutions Ensure availability of manpower, equipment, and materials Attend site meetings and inspections with consultants and clients Quality & Safety
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2-5] years of experience in steel fabrication and erection works Experience in high-rise buildings, industrial plants, warehouses, or infrastructure projects is an advantage Technical Skills Strong knowledge of structural steel systems and erection methodologies Familiar with AISC, ASTM, BS, EN, AWS, and ISO standards Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and shop drawings Knowledge of welding procedures and bolted connections Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic scheduling tools Soft Skills Strong leadership and site coordination skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
