Within RVO Health, Optum Perks is a suite of B2C and B2B applications and services built atop pharmacy data. You will work with modern technologies on a consumer-facing suite of apps and back-end APIs that help millions of users make their prescriptions and medical services more affordable and more accessible.

In this role you will play a significant part in solutioning and developing a robust set of APIs and consumer-facing applications. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with the business, product management, and other RVOH teams. You will apply your skills in an innovative, forward-thinking environment that follows industry best practices and fosters engineering culture.

A qualified candidate is an engineer with solid development experience, knowledge of modern frameworks, and RESTful API writing experience. You will develop application code hands-on and collaborate with the Senior and Staff engineers to design and implement API solutions that are mindful of scalability and security.

What Youll Do

• Collaborate with other engineers and IT stakeholders to build an understanding of systems or RESTful APIs involved in integrations
• Demonstrate a strong understanding in RESTful APIs
• Develop product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
• Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Work with geographically distributed Agile teams across the USA
• Help to provide estimates for user stories, and tasks
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices
• Be aware of current security trends, tools, and requirements
• Provide input to planning activities
• Participate in rotational on-call schedules as needed
• Work outside of standard office hours as needed and, on occasion, support night-time releases
  
  

What Were Looking For

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, related field OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript / JavaScript.
• 2+ years of experience with RESTful APIs
• Software Implementation and integration experience
• Working knowledge of or experience with Azure
• Working knowledge of or experience with Agile development lifecycle
  
  

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $118,000 - $158,000
• Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
