Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Proven experience in quantity surveying within the structural steel sector • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, workshop operations, and site installation activities • Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, variations, cost control, and subcontractor management • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills • Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate • Immediate availability is preferred

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with a strong academic foundation in construction economics.
  • Professional certification such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or similar credentials, showcasing expertise.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects (over $10 million) across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with local construction laws and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite, enhancing productivity and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights for project stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, essential for liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure, adapting quickly to changing project demands and deadlines.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus, facilitating communication in diverse project environments.
