Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design Development Leadership: Drive the design vision and development of architectural projects, ensuring concepts are fully realized into practical, functional, and aesthetically refined solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Lead the technical aspects of design, translating concepts into detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation that meet regulatory codes and project standards.
  • Integrated Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—including interior designers, engineers, and consultants—to align technical solutions with design intent and project objectives.
  • Feasibility & Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies, site evaluations, and technical assessments to support informed design decisions and risk management.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure design outputs maintain consistency, quality, and compliance with client requirements, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Present design development packages and technical solutions effectively, ensuring clarity and alignment with client expectations.
  • Mentorship & Team Guidance: Provide direction and mentorship to junior architects and designers, fostering technical excellence, innovation, and adherence to best practices.
  • Design Integrity Through Delivery: Support the project lifecycle from concept through design development, tender, and construction, ensuring the architectural vision is accurately executed.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve design and technical challenges with innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelors Degree in Architecture; professional license/registration is an advantage.
  • Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in architecture, with significant exposure to design development and technical delivery of large-scale, high-end projects (residential, commercial, or hospitality).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, etc.) and advanced visualization/presentation tools.
  • Design Excellence: Proven ability to translate conceptual ideas into detailed, buildable designs that balance creativity, functionality, and technical feasibility.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building codes, standards, regulations, and technical detailing.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior architects, and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary consultants and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to anticipate project challenges and provide effective technical/design solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation, client-facing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate design intent and technical information.
  • Project Delivery: Proven track record of managing projects through design development, tender documentation, and construction stages, ensuring design integrity and technical compliance.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs within project deadlines.
