Job Description – Sales Executive (Freight Forwarding)
Position: Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding
Department: Sales & Business Development
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports to: Sales Manager / Country Manager
Role Overview:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in freight forwarding (Air, Sea, and Road). The role requires strong industry knowledge, client acquisition skills, and the ability to develop customized logistics solutions for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in freight forwarding (Air, Sea, Road, and Logistics).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets and revenue goals.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts in line with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide weekly/monthly reports to management.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–4 years of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding / logistics industry.
- Strong network of customers and ability to bring in new accounts.
- Knowledge of international trade, shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Valid driving license.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
