Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist project management team in developing and executing site-specific safety programs and activities
  • Attend, coordinate, and conduct safety orientation and training programs at the project level
  • Document and track all safety violations, unsafe conditions, etc.
  • Conduct work area safety audits
  • Conduct the project’s leading and trailing indicator data/document collection and trend analyses
  • Conduct or assist with major incident analysis
  • Record, monitor, and analyze Safety, Injury, and Hazard statistics
  • Coordinate OSHA reporting and posting requirements
  • Review Safety Submittals and attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractors.
  • Check the site security, fire, First Aid and welfare facilities and ensure that all procedures appropriate to the Works are provided and properly maintained.
  • Carry out and record regular site safety inspections.
  • Monitor and review trade partner work plans and activities for safety concerns
  • Assist with onsite injury management and case management
  • confidentiality of company information.
  • Perform another related task.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas industry, showcasing practical experience.
  • Holds relevant safety certifications, such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and competence.
  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, providing a strong foundation in safety principles.
  • Exhibits a thorough understanding of industry-specific safety regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management.
  • Displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and achieving safety goals.
  • Exhibits strong leadership and organizational skills, ensuring the effective implementation and management of safety programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using safety management software and other relevant tools, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in safety operations.
