Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery terms for raw materials and packaging.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, records, and documentation.
  • Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and forecast future needs.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends and new suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant quality, safety, and sustainability standards in procurement activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in processing orders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of local and international supplier markets.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and HACCP is an advantage.
