Roles & Responsibilities

Consultancy Type: Short-Term Assignments/Deliverables-Based Contracts

Location: Remote, MENA region and/or Worldwide (with potential fieldwork opportunities in MENA)

Your role:

As part of our consultant pool, you may be engaged for specific assignments involving:

- Designing robust, context-specific M&E methodologies and tools, such as workplans, data collection tools, and sampling approaches.
- Conducting and managing data collection and fieldwork processes for evaluations, third-party monitoring, needs assessments, and verification activities.
- Supervising data cleaning and validation processes, ensuring adherence to quality assurance protocols.
- Performing rigorous quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Drafting high-quality reports with actionable recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Leading client presentations to validate M&E findings and support knowledge-sharing efforts.
- Contributing to the development of technical proposals for RMTeam s business development efforts.


Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with M&E methodologies and tools across one or more sectors e.g. Health, Education, Migration, Conflict Peacebuilding, Protection, Gender, Climate Change, Economics, WASH, Food security, and Livelihoods.
- Data Skills: Proficiency in qualitative, statistical and data management software (e.g., SPSS, R, STATA, Excel) is desirable.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Context Knowledge: Familiarity with MENA-specific challenges and opportunities, including cross-cutting issues such as gender and conflict sensitivity.
- Languages: Native or near-native proficiency in English. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
Ideal Background:
- Experience working with international M&E or research organisations.
- Familiarity with EU, FCDO, UN-funded projects.
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., international development, political science, statistics, gender).
- Experience with remote management.
