Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs by washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring everything is sanitized and ready for use.
  • Organize and store food supplies properly to minimize waste and ensure easy access during meal preparation.
  • Support food plating and presentation tasks to enhance the dining experience for guests.
  • Monitor inventory levels and help with stock rotation to ensure freshness and reduce spoilage.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for events and daily operations.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to facilitate teamwork and improve workflow.
  • Be proactive in identifying tasks that need attention, showing initiative to support the kitchen team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school education is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred, ideally 1-2 years.
  • Understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment usage is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
  • Attention to detail to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a dynamic kitchen setting.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn, contributing to a harmonious team atmosphere.
