Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented International Buyer to manage global sourcing and procurement of FMCG products. The ideal candidate will have experience in international supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and purchasing, with a deep understanding of the FMCG market and global sourcing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop international suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality FMCG products.
- Conduct global market research to identify emerging trends, pricing structures, and sourcing opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with overseas suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, quality, marketing, legal) to ensure timely and cost-effective product procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance, manage KPIs, and ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies.
- Track international shipments and resolve any delays, discrepancies, or customs issues.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Support new product development by sourcing innovative and competitive products from international markets.
- Stay updated on global economic trends, trade regulations, tariffs, and currency fluctuations that may impact sourcing.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- 3–5+ years of experience as an international buyer or in global sourcing, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Knowledge of international trade laws, Incoterms, and import/export documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Mandarin, Spanish, etc.) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

- Experience with supplier audits and quality assurance processes.
- Understanding of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
- Strong cultural awareness and global mindset.
