� Job Alert: Interior Designer / Estimator (Focus on Technical & Estimation) ________________________________________ Company: Bureau Silvestre Decoration Design & Implementation LLC Location: Dubai, UAE Experience: 2 – 6 Years in Dubai ________________________________________ We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Interior Designer / Estimator with a strong background in quantity surveying to join our fit-out team. This role is crucial for ensuring the commercial viability and accurate execution of our projects. Key Responsibilities (Technical & Estimation Focus): • Quantity Surveying & BOQ: o Primary responsibility for performing accurate and detailed Quantity Surveying (QS) from design concepts and drawings. o Prepare comprehensive and commercially competitive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all project stages (tender, procurement, and execution). • Technical Drawing & Fabrication Support: o Develop detailed and precise Shop Drawings for construction and fabrication, especially complex Joinery works (e.g., cabinets, counters, specialized millwork). o Produce clear 2D drawings (plans, elevations) for site execution, ensuring compliance with specifications and local regulations. • Cost Management & Estimation: o Prepare full cost estimations, including material, labor, and sub-contractor costs, to meet project budget goals. o Value engineer designs to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or design intent. • Design & Coordination: o Review and refine initial Interior Design concepts, ensuring they are feasible and practical for construction. o Coordinate with suppliers, sub-contractors, and the Project Management team regarding materials, specifications, and BOQ items. Qualifications & Requirements: • Experience: 2 to 6 years of proven experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, and Technical Drawing within a Dubai/UAE fit-out company is essential. • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for shop drawings, and strong skills in generating accurate quantities from designs. Experience with 3D software for visualization is a bonus. • Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction processes, UAE market rates, and material specifications, with specific expertise in Joinery manufacturing and installation. • Attributes: Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach to cost management.
