Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to UAE VAT regulations and IFRS standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation and analysis to provide insightful financial reports.
- Prepare and review detailed financial budgets and forecasts, offering strategic financial planning and analysis to support business decisions.
- Conduct thorough variance analysis, identifying and explaining discrepancies between budgeted and actual financial performance.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Exhibits advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations, with practical application experience.
