Job Description

As a Food Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our food products meet all requisite safety and quality standards both internally and externally. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing food safety policies and practices, conducting audits, and coordinating with multiple departments to uphold the highest standards of food safety. By collaborating with the quality assurance team, you will ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain exemplary product quality. This position requires a detailed-oriented individual with a keen understanding of food safety protocols, regulations, and industry best practices to prevent contamination and ensure consumer safety.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement food safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to address and rectify safety concerns.
  • Train staff on proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor food production processes to prevent contamination and safety breaches.
  • Ensure all documentation related to safety protocols is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Investigate instances of food safety violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Liaise with local health departments regarding any potential safety issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest food safety regulations and industry trends.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety audits and present findings to management.
  • Develop emergency response plans for food safety incidents.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure supplier compliance with safety standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a food safety or quality control position.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Certification in HACCP or a related food safety program is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset are crucial.
