Job PurposeThe Expert System Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced (Level 2 and 3) support, managing enterprise infrastructure, and ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of critical IT systems. The role requires deep expertise across virtualization, backup solutions, Microsoft and Citrix environments, and the ability to liaise effectively with vendors and government entities to ensure seamless service delivery and integration.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for enterprise systems and infrastructure.Manage and optimize Dell infrastructure including VXRAIL and PowerFlex environments.Administer and support backup solutions such as HP Protect, Data Domain, VEEAM, Commvault, or Rubrik.Manage and maintain VMware environments across Microsoft and Linux platforms.Administer Citrix tools including VDI and MDM solutions.Manage Microsoft 365 tools including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and related services.Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection across all managed systems.Collaborate with vendors and government entities on service provision, integration, and compliance requirements.Proactively monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.Lead or support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures for knowledge sharing.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers when needed.RequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience in system engineering, IT infrastructure management, or related fields.Proven expertise in Dell infrastructure (VXRAIL, PowerFlex).Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with backup solutions (HP Protect, Data Domain, VEEAM, Commvault, Rubrik).Expertise in VMware environments (Windows and Linux).Strong experience with Citrix tools (VDI, MDM).Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and government entities on technical and integration matters.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Key CompetenciesTechnical leadership and problem-solvingVendor and stakeholder managementAbility to work independently under minimal supervisionStrong collaboration and cross-functional communication skillsAdaptability in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
