Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement electrical preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of electrical system failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Manage and supervise a team of electrical technicians, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to coordinate electrical work and ensure timely project completion.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of electrical equipment and materials, ensuring sufficient stock levels and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of the latest electrical codes, standards, and technologies, and incorporate them into work practices.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and safety incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations related to electrical waste disposal and energy efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial or commercial settings.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety standards.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising electrical teams.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Be proficient in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) and related tools.
  • Display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating electrical hazards.
  • Show a high level of integrity, responsibility and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical conduct.
