Our portfolio includes high-voltage substations, renewable energy facilities, power plants, pumping stations, oil & gas refineries, street lighting systems, and cabling infrastructure.

As we expand our footprint in the fast-growing Data Centre segment, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager – Data Centre to lead our growth strategy in this sector.

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager – Data Centre will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and securing contracts related to data centre infrastructure projects across the Gulf and African regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, infrastructure development, and deep knowledge of the data centre market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for Data Centre construction projects, including electrical, mechanical, and civil scopes.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, client requirements, competitor activities, and regulatory landscape in UAE, GCC, and Africa.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with consultants, technology providers, government entities, and private sector clients.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations and proposals.
  • Lead bid preparation, RFQ/RFP responses, and negotiation of contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, project, and commercial teams to align business goals with operational capabilities.
  • Ensure pipeline growth through systematic client outreach, networking, and attending industry events.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on data centre technologies, energy efficiency standards, and international benchmarks.
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets as per business plan.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in business development within data centres preferably in the GCC or Africa.
  • Proven track record of winning large-scale infrastructure or data centre projects.
  • Strong network of contacts with clients, EPCs, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Understanding of data centre design principles, power & cooling requirements, and Tier standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across GCC and African countries as per business needs.
