Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts such as brakes, engines, and transmissions.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential future problems.
• Collaborate with team members to complete job orders efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used on each vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
• Stay updated on the latest technology and repair techniques in the automotive industry.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and the safe use of equipment.
• Order necessary parts and materials for repairs and ensure timely arrival.
• Provide cost estimates and repair recommendations to service advisors and clients.
• Test the functionality and performance of vehicles after repairs are completed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal automotive education program preferred.
• Professional certification from ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and automotive repair tools.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an auto mechanic in a professional setting.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to clients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
