Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate repair.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and lighting, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Interpret vehicle schematics and wiring diagrams to effectively implement repairs and modifications to electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components, proactively addressing potential issues before they escalate.
  • Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies and electrical systems to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to develop comprehensive solutions for complex vehicle electrical problems.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance tasks performed on vehicles, maintaining accurate records for reference and warranty purposes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining electrical issues and repair solutions clearly to clients.
  • Calibrate and program electronic control units (ECUs) to optimize vehicle performance and ensure compliance with emission standards.
  • Train and mentor junior electricians, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in auto electronics is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications, such as ASE certification in electrical systems, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an auto electrician in a fast-paced automotive repair environment.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in hybrid or electric vehicle systems, reflecting an understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like multimeters and scan tools to accurately troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail, enabling effective resolution of complex electrical problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly convey technical information to clients and team members.
  • Can manage AC work also
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showcasing adaptability in various work environments.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in confined spaces and handle heavy components safely.
