Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop design concepts and translate them into technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Prepare presentation materials, including 3D models and visualizations, to effectively communicate design intent to clients and project teams.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including revisions, specifications, and correspondence, to ensure seamless project workflow.
  • Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess project conditions, ensuring accuracy in designs and plans.
  • Assist in the selection of materials and finishes, providing detailed specifications that align with the design vision and budget.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into design work.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing input on design progress and contributing to problem-solving discussions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field is essential for a strong foundational knowledge.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in architectural drafting, showcasing a robust portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD is mandatory to create and modify detailed architectural plans.
  • Certifications like LEED or National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) are preferred for demonstrating expertise.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects, with a focus on sustainable design practices being a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills can enhance communication in diverse project teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to drafting to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with architects, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • A proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset, essential for addressing design challenges and evolving project requirements.
