Accountant - Expense Control and Analysis

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with strong experience in expense recording, monitoring, and analysis. The role requires hands-on ownership of day-to-day expense accounting along with identifying and investigating high or abnormal expenses to support cost control and management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and post all company expenses accurately and on a timely basis.
• Maintain detailed expense schedules and supporting documentation.
• Monitor expenses against budgets and historical trends.
• Identify, analyse, and flag abnormal or high-value expenses.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide clear explanations for deviations.
• Prepare periodic expense reports for management review.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate expense data and clarifications.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to expenses.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
