Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.
- Present and explain the menu items expertly, including daily specials, to enhance guests' dining experience.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times and maximum satisfaction.
- Monitor guests’ dining experience, checking in regularly to anticipate needs and address any concerns swiftly.
- Serve food and beverages with precision and attention to detail, ensuring presentation meets the establishment's standards.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, ensuring all payments are processed securely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, ensuring all tables are set and ready for guests.
- Upsell menu items and promotional offers skillfully, contributing to revenue growth and enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring food safety standards are met and the dining environment is clean.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related courses preferred to enhance service skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced dining environment, demonstrating efficiency and adaptability.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic cash handling procedures for seamless transactions.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional languages are a strong asset for international clientele.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with guests and provide personalized service that fosters loyalty.
- Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple tables and requests simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Attention to detail in food presentation and service to uphold the establishment’s reputation for excellence.
- A team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate with colleagues to create a positive work atmosphere.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting trays or items up to 25 lbs comfortably.
- Positive attitude and resilience to handle stressful situations with grace, ensuring guest satisfaction.
