Job Description

The role of a Training Manager in the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector is essential for ensuring that staff are properly equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to meet the operational standards and customer service expectations of the organization. This position focuses on developing informative, engaging, and motivational training programs tailored to both new hires and existing employees to enhance their ongoing development. The Training Manager is responsible for aligning the training initiatives with the broader goals of the company to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery. They must have a thorough understanding of F&B operations and procedures, ensuring staff comply with industry regulations and internal policies. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to support an efficient and motivated workforce.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for F&B staff members.
  • Assess and identify training needs through regular consultations with departments.
  • Deliver training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Create and update training materials to reflect current industry standards and practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and nutrition regulations during training.
  • Liaise with other managers to coordinate and support ongoing staff development.
  • Provide regular reports on training activities and outcomes to senior management.
  • Support and mentor trainees, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Manage the training budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost effectiveness.
  • Gather feedback from trainees and managers to aid continuous improvement of programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of employee participation in training and development initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the F&B industry is required.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deliver training content.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of instructional methodologies and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
