Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Design structures that are safe, sustainable, and compliant with building codes.
  • Analyze blueprints, reports, and project specifications to ensure feasibility and structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams to integrate structural designs into projects.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor the progress of construction and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and analysis software to create detailed structural models.
  • Evaluate potential design modifications and their impact on structural performance and cost.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to stakeholders and clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and technological advancements in structural engineering.
  • Ensure projects comply with local, national, and international standards and environmental guidelines.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Identify potential risks in projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Participate in project review meetings to address design challenges and updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with structural analysis software and computer-aided design tools.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
