Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Orthodontist to join our reputable medical/dental team in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, including misaligned jaws and teeth. Key Responsibilities: Examine patients to assess the alignment of teeth and jaws. Develop individualized treatment plans using diagnostic tools (e.g., X-rays, photographs, dental impressions, 3D imaging). Apply braces, retainers, aligners (e.g., Invisalign), and other orthodontic appliances. Monitor and adjust orthodontic treatments at regular intervals. Educate patients and parents (if pediatric) on treatment options, oral hygiene, and appliance care. Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists (e.g., oral surgeons, periodontists) for multidisciplinary care. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using electronic dental systems. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and UAE healthcare regulations. Participate in quality assurance, patient safety programs, and continued professional development (CME) as required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS/DMD) from an accredited institution. Master’s degree or recognized postgraduate specialty training in Orthodontics. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Specialist Orthodontist. Board certification (if applicable) is an added advantage. Proficient in modern orthodontic technologies and clear aligner systems (e.g., Invisalign). Fluent in English; Arabic or other languages are a plus. Preferred Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient-centered approach with a calm and professional demeanor. Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity. Familiarity with digital orthodontics and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Dolphin Imaging).
