Job Summary

At Homes By Design, we create refined outdoor environments for luxury residences delivering bespoke landscaping, swimming pools and architectural outdoor features that seamlessly blend aesthetics, functionality, and lasting value.

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-obsessed Site Engineer to take full leadership of landscaping, pool, and outdoor living space execution. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will supervise all site activities and be fully accountable for the quality, safety, and final delivery of every outdoor project under your scope.

Your role is to ensure every detail from pergolas and firepits to lighting, planting, and pool finishes is executed to exacting standards, with oversight of both internal teams and third-party contractors. You will uphold the Homes by Design brand through rigorous quality control, safety management, and by maintaining an exceptional client experience on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site works across:
• Hardscaping (paving, stonework, decking, Kerbs, external steps)
• Softscaping Soft-scaping (turf, planting, soil prep, root control)
• Outdoor structures (pergolas, gazebos, built planters)
• Outdoor kitchens, BBQ areas, firepits
• Landscape lighting & electrical(fixtures, cabling, controls)
• Irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, automation)
• Swimming pools (optional) (structural, waterproofing, tiling, filtration)
• Interpret and enforce the execution of approved architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate and supervise all direct tradespeople and third-party subcontractors, ensuring they deliver to Homes by Design’s expected level of craftsmanship.
• Ensure meticulous attention to detail in execution from material alignment to joint finishing, planting density, and lighting symmetry.
• Maintain exceptionally high standards of quality, safety, cleanliness, staff presentation, and customer service on site.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintain full site oversight to ensure brand standards are applied at every stage of delivery.
• Enforce compliance with HSE protocols, ensuring all personnel follow safety practices, wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean working environment.
• Monitor schedule progress, site productivity, and deliverables escalating issues and driving resolution without delay.
• Keep detailed documentation including daily site reports, snagging, inspection requests, variation tracking, and handover readiness.
• Represent the company professionally when liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers, and authorities.
• Take complete responsibility for the delivered project ensuring that it meets Homes By Design’s standards of excellence and exceeds client expectations.

Skills & Competencies

• Expert knowledge of luxury landscaping construction, pool systems, external MEP, lighting, softscape, and outdoor architecture.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple teams, trades, and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, product quality, hygiene, presentation, and safety on site.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for guiding skilled trades with clarity and authority.
• Sharp attention to detail with a deep understanding of how precision impacts overall visual quality and longevity.
• Confident in handling last-minute challenges and finding proactive solutions without compromising standards.
• Strong command of Dubai regulations and authority inspection requirements.

Experience Requirements

• 5–8 years of UAE-based site engineering or construction supervision experience within luxury villa landscaping, pool, and outdoor living projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex outdoor environments with architectural and lifestyle elements (BBQs, outdoor kitchens, fire features, lighting, pergolas).
• Hands-on experience managing both direct labour and outsourced contractors while maintaining cohesive site performance.
