Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze blueprints and specifications for sheet metal fabrication.
• Utilize tools and machinery to cut, shape, and bend materials as required.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications.
• Install sheet metal parts and systems in various structures or vehicles.
• Operate hand and power tools effectively for smooth and precise operations.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed in all workshop and site operations.
• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of tools and machinery used.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize project outcomes.
• Maintain high quality and accuracy in all manufacturing processes.
• Ensure project deadlines are met without compromising quality standards.
• Document all aspects of work, including materials used and project completion.
• Train and guide junior technicians in honing their sheet metal skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training preferred.
• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation required.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and sheet metal properties is essential.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficient in using hand tools, welding equipment, and machinery safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in teams.
