Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Quality management:

  • Ensure compliance of all Contractors and Vendors with the Project Quality Management System requirements.
  • Participate in audits on Engineering Contractor, Vendors and Construction Contractors.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators to measure quality performance of various Contractors.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Project team members on matters related to QA/QC.
  • Provide input to project reports identifying project quality performance, issues and trends.

Engineering activities:

  • Review of Engineering Contractor documents such as Material Requisitions, Guideline ITP s, Quality procedures.
  • Participate in Bid clarifications and Technical Evaluation of bidders.

Manufacturing activities:

  • Support the Quality Team Lead in planning, co-ordination and supervision of inspection activities (within UAE and outside UAE).
  • Responsible for approving Vendors quality documents including ITP s, Quality procedures, Mill Test Certificates.
  • Attend the pre-inspection meetings at Vendor premises, ensure Third-Party Inspectors have adequate experience and qualifications for the task, monitor Third-Party Inspectors performance.
  • Ensure that the inspection activities at Vendor s premises are carried out in accordance with approved inspection & test procedures, relevant codes and standards; attend inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests at Vendor s premises.
  • Responsible for the review of the Manufacturer Record Books.

Expected:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical Engineering).
  • Weld Inspection Certification to AWS or CSWIP Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Coating/painting NACE Level II or equivalent.
  • ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MPI and PT.

Competencies/Skills/Others:

  • Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
  • Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English.
  • Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion.
  • Willingness to interact directly with people.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in an organized and structured fashion, and within time constraints.
