Position Overview:

The Senior Piping Designer plays a critical role in the engineering and design phases of large-scale projects, providing leadership and expertise in piping system design. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and functionality, the Senior Piping Designer collaborates with project engineers, architects, and other specialists to create detailed piping layouts, diagrams, and models. This role demands a high level of experience and knowledge in various piping system applications in industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation. Additionally, the Senior Piping Designer must ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and project specifications, while also optimally fitting the constraints of each unique project. The candidate is expected to contribute to the project's success by identifying potential design issues before they arise and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design outputs.

• Develop comprehensive piping designs and layouts using industry-standard software tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to create detailed piping system models and drawings.
• Ensure piping designs align with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions and assess design requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, and design calculations.
• Review and check piping drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Mentor junior piping designers to enhance their technical skills and productivity.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to identify materials and ensure availability.
• Identify potential design issues and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
• Support project management in estimating design costs and timelines.
• Participate in design review meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Ensure all piping designs adhere to relevant safety and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in piping design in industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SP3D, and PDS required.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and piping components specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
