Roles & Responsibilities

Role

The Senior Development Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of Aman s ultra-luxury hospitality and residential developments from concept to handover. Based at our Corporate Office in Dubai and reporting to the Regional Director of Project Development, this role oversees all aspects of project execution including budget management, consultant coordination, contract negotiations and construction oversight. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of high-end design and construction processes, and a passion for delivering iconic projects to the highest standard of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of assigned Aman developments, from feasibility to completion.
  • Define project delivery strategies aligned with budget, programme, and brand objectives.
  • Appoint and manage consultants including architects, engineers and project managers.
  • Collaborate closely with Aman Technical Services to integrate brand and design standards.
  • Oversee procurement, including contract negotiation and selection of contractors.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets, payment schedules and financial reporting.
  • Direct value engineering processes and ensure delivery within cost and quality expectations.
  • Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders, joint venture partners and ownership teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits and lead progress reporting to senior leadership.
  • Drive operational readiness in the lead-up to handover, ensuring flawless execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years experience in development or project management, ideally within luxury hospitality or residential environments.
  • University degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale developments from inception to completion.
  • Strong financial oversight capabilities, including capital expenditure (CAPEX) and cash flow forecasting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary international teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and confident in presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Flexible, solutions-focused and comfortable working under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Culturally aware and collaborative with a high degree of professional integrity.
  • Willing and able to travel globally to support projects as required.
