A Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in the finance department by managing and overseeing all accounting operations. Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare timely and detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Develop strategies and procedures for continuous improvement of financial operations.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and company policies to maintain compliance.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Analyze current accounting practices and provide effective recommendations for enhancements.
• Supervise and provide guidance to junior accounting staff to maintain productivity.
• Conduct financial analysis and create financial forecasts to support business growth.
• Review journal entries for accuracy and approve reconciliations and adjustments.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds availability for operations.
• Collaborate with IT staff to maintain accounting-related software and applications.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and proprietary information.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Five or more years of professional accounting experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
• Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is essential.
• Experience with financial audits, including planning, reporting, and evaluation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for financial analysis.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
