Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in financial operations, reporting, and UAE regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle online banking activities, including payments, fund transfers, vendor payments, and bank coordination.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UAE accounting standards.
- Perform VAT calculations, filing, and ensure full compliance with UAE tax laws.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Review payroll entries, staff settlements, and related financial transactions.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors and support all audit requirements.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and financial procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred).
- Minimum 6+ years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong experience with online banking platforms used in UAE banks.
- Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, accuracy, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
