Roles & Responsibilities

Looking for a SAP Testing Manager with deep expertise in SAP EC Payroll Implementation (ECPY) to lead and coordinate all end-to-end testing activities for the SAP program. The consultant will be responsible for validating payroll processes across all relevant SAP modules and integrations, ensuring alignment with the company’s compliance requirements, statutory regulations, and internal business policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the SAP testing strategy and execution plan with emphasis on Payroll, Time Management, and HR/HCM modules.
  • Coordinate test activities across multiple phases (SIT, UAT, Regression, Performance).
  • Develop and review test scenarios, cases, and scripts for Payroll, including:
  1. Off-cycle payroll
  2. Local Regulations (Tax, Pension, Social Security, etc.)
  3. Retroactive payroll
  4. Statutory compliance
  5. GL postings & integrations
  6. Accruals (Gratuity, Leave Salary, Leave Passage, Bonus, Medical Insurance, Pension/social security, etc.)
  7. Variance report
  8. Leave Salary Calculation
  • Final settlements
  • Manage testing risks, defects, and quality metrics; run daily defect triage with client stakeholders.
  • Interface with the client’s business and IT teams to align on testing scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Guide client teams and junior consultants on SAP payroll testing best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years in SAP testing with 3+ years focused on SAP Payroll (country-specific knowledge preferred: [e.g., Middle East, Asia & Africa).
  • Prior consulting experience in managing SAP test cycles and deliverables in client-facing roles.
  • Hands-on with tools like SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, or Jira.
  • Experience in managing payroll testing across multiple interfaces (e.g., time systems, finance, banks, tax authorities).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Must/Nice to Have:

  • SAP Certification (Cloud Payroll) – Must Have
  • ISTQB or similar testing qualification – Nice To Have
  • Exposure to S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, or third-party payroll providers – Must Have
  • Test automation familiarity (Tosca, Worksoft, etc.) – Nice To Have
