Job Description:
TrafQuest Consultant is seeking a skilled Road Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and managing road and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Dubai RTA and UAE standards. This role requires strong technical expertise in road design, practical experience with design software, and the ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for complex projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Road Design & Analysis
- Develop and review detailed road designs, geometric layouts, cross-sections, and pavement designs.
- Perform capacity analysis, alignment studies, and traffic integration for road infrastructure projects.
- Apply design standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with Dubai RTA, municipal, and UAE regulations.
Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed design reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all design outputs meet project requirements and quality standards.
Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including transport planners, utility engineers, and project managers.
- Coordinate with clients, authorities, and contractors to address design queries and approvals.
Data Collection & Quality Control
- Review survey data, geotechnical reports, and traffic studies to support design decisions.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of all design outputs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant road design experience, with at least 1–2 years in Dubai/UAE projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE/Dubai road design standards, RTA guidelines, and infrastructure regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or other relevant design software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Transportation or Civil Engineering.
- Experience with highway and urban road network design.
- Familiarity with traffic modelling outputs and integration into road design.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
