As a Revenue Optimisation Systems Officer, you will collaborate effectively with the Emirates IT team to implement and enhance revenue management systems, ensuring any new challenges are quickly and efficiently addressed. The role requires using airline data models to create detailed reports on bookings, tickets, and ancillary services and develop adhoc reports for senior management that emphasize essential aspects of revenue management and key performance indicators. Develop and maintain expertise around data analysis, programming languages, problem-solving, and clear communication skills.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct thorough analysis and revamp existing system parameters to enhance the performance of optimization systems significantly.
- Implement cutting-edge methodologies and tools to improve forecast accuracy, ensuring predictions are as close to reality as possible.
- Collaborate with IT and systems engineering teams to identify and rectify bottlenecks in system performance.
- Support Systems and Analytics Managers in conducting what-if scenarios, business contingencies, and impact analyses.
- Employ advanced data analytics techniques to model and predict outcomes of various business scenarios, enabling proactive decision-making.
- React to unanticipated business conditions with agility, proposing system adjustments or analytical models to mitigate risks or seize opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive test cases and scenarios that reflect real-world use cases and potential system stresses or failures.
- Conduct detailed Business User Acceptance Testing (BUAT) to ensure system updates and enhancements meet specified requirements and perform optimally in live environments.
- Document testing methodologies, results, and feedback systematically, creating a knowledge base for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in systems analytics and optimization, continually applying this knowledge to enhance system capabilities.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
A minimum of two years of experience in software development or testing.
You will have an edge if you have:
- Programming skills, with advanced proficiency in Python as the preferred language
- Experience in database and business intelligence tools, strong SQL scripting skills, and Robotic Process Automation knowledge are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to efficiently identify and solve complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts and effectively interact with stakeholders.
