Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for their dining experience.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, taking and managing reservations accurately, and providing information about the restaurant.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring menus are readily available and the waiting area is presentable.
  • Communicate effectively with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy, resolving them to the best of your ability and escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and any changes, to answer guest inquiries accurately.
  • Uphold the restaurant's standards of service and appearance, contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience as a hostess or in customer service is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Polite, professional, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and good memory.
  • Basic computer skills for managing daily operations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
