Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Expertly interpret medical images, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to provide accurate diagnoses and inform treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, offering insights and guidance to optimize patient care and improve diagnostic accuracy.
- Perform and supervise image-guided procedures, such as biopsies and drainages, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficacy.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs to maintain the highest standards of imaging quality and patient safety.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in radiology through continuous learning and participation in professional development activities.
- Contribute to research initiatives, publishing findings and presenting at conferences to advance the field of radiology.
- Provide comprehensive reports that clearly communicate diagnostic findings to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage and mentor radiology staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment within the department.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory and ethical guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality and data security.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning to enhance radiology services.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency experience, specializing in a specific subspecialty within radiology is preferred.
- Demonstrates proficiency in operating and interpreting a wide range of imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and practices, ensuring patient and staff protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying complex information to patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
