Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage and administer post-contract activities, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project requirements.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost plans, cash flows, and monthly cost reports.
- Measure and verify quantities, update BOQ, and prepare remeasurement sheets.
- Prepare, evaluate, and submit variations, change orders, and claims with proper documentation.
- Certify subcontractor payments based on verified progress and measurements.
- Prepare monthly payment applications to clients and follow up for approvals.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance for smooth commercial control.
- Review subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison statements.
- Maintain accurate commercial records, logs, and documentation.
- Prepare and support in final account submissions and contract close-out.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 3–8 years of proven experience in post-contract QS roles, preferably in construction, fit-out, or joinery projects.
- Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of post-contract processes, cost control, BOQ, variations, and claims.
Excellent knowledge of drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
Familiarity with standard contract forms (FIDIC or equivalent). - Software Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS measurement software (CostX, Planswift, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, perform cost analysis, and prepare commercial reports.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and subcontractor coordination.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation and commercial skills to manage variations, claims, and subcontractor discussions.
- Work Approach:
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Proactive, commercially aware, and committed to accuracy. - Professionalism: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
