Roles & Responsibilities

A Project Manager who will be placed at Fujairah, UAE is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a construction project from start to finish . The core duties include project planning, budget and schedule management, and coordinating communication between all stakeholders to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure all phases of the project run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.Responsibilities Planning and coordination: To ensure development of detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, safety, quality and resource allocation. To review the plans, schedules of all construction operations to ensure deadlines are met. Budget management: To ensure preparation and manage detailed project budgets, monitor costs, and prevent overruns. Negotiate contracts with external vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Resource management: To determine and acquire necessary resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials. Oversee resource allocation and logistics to ensure efficient use. Team leadership: To direct and guide the project team, including construction managers, Engineers and contractors and to foster a collaborative environment and resolve any conflicts that arise. Regulatory compliance: To ensure the project adheres to all local laws of the emirates, and related federal building codes, safety regulations (such as OSHA), and environmental standards. To ensure obtaining necessary permits and licenses from statutory authorities. Risk management: To ensure Identification and assessment potential project risks and to develop mitigation plans to minimize the impact. To respond effectively to unforeseen delays, emergencies, and other issues. Stakeholder communication: Serve as the focal point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers. Provide regular progress reports and updates. Quality assurance: To review and monitor the adherence of quality assurance and quality control to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to design specifications. Ensuring to conduct regular inspections and create "punch lists" for completion. Documentation and reporting: To ensure and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders. To present detailed status reports on progress, budget, and potential issues to all stakeholders and senior management. Qualifications & Experience Education: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management from a reputed & recognized institution/university. Experience: 15 to 20+ years of industry experience with track record in construction project management of residential/commercial buildings including underground construction and MEP works is essential, out of which minimum 3 to 5 years of recent experience in UAE or middle east as Project Manager is mandatory Certifications: Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are preferred. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE statutory requirements (e.g., DEWA, ADM permits)Required Skills Leadership: The ability to motivate and guide diverse teams towards a common goal. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively relay information to different stakeholders, from site workers to clients. Technical proficiency & innovative mindset: A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, blueprints, and building codes. Leveraging and collaborating with the latest technology and digital tools, such as BIM for 3D coordination, AI, and Lean Construction principles to optimize the work processes and exploring innovative solutions Negotiation: The ability to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes with vendors and subcontractors. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to address and resolve unexpected issues quickly and effectively. Time management: The ability to prioritize tasks, create realistic schedules, and ensure all milestones are met. Software proficiency: Experience with construction project management software (e.g. Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project, BIM) and common office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). High level of cultural awareness and adaptability to UAE business practices
