The role of a Principal Engineer in the construction sector is pivotal for the success of complex engineering projects. As a Principal Engineer, you will oversee the technical facets of major construction projects, ensuring that they meet all prescribed standards and specifications. You are responsible for leading a team of engineers, coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders, and guiding projects from inception through to completion. You will apply your expertise to solve challenging engineering problems, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and drive innovative approaches to optimize construction processes. Your role will not only involve technical oversight but also the mentorship of junior engineers and fostering a collaborative work environment. This position requires a deep understanding of construction engineering principles, excellent leadership skills, and effective communication to interact with diverse teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in the planning and execution of construction projects.
• Develop and implement engineering designs that meet project specifications and budgets.
• Assess project requirements and ensure they adhere to engineering standards and codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering roles.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale construction projects successfully.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for team coordination and client communication.
• Proficient in using engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD and BIM.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
