Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using software tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
- Conduct resource allocation analysis to optimize productivity and minimize delays, adjusting schedules as necessary based on ongoing project developments.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and potential bottlenecks.
- Facilitate communication between various teams and departments, ensuring everyone is informed of schedule changes and project requirements.
- Analyze historical project data to improve future planning processes and enhance accuracy in forecasting timelines.
- Monitor project expenditures and resource utilization, providing recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Support the procurement process by providing input on timeline constraints and resource availability, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services.
- Conduct schedule risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential project delays or disruptions.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest planning tools and industry best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
- 5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering sectors is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools is a must.
- Certification as a Planning Engineer (e.g., PMI-SP or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects or major construction projects is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams are critical.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Detail-oriented personality with a proactive approach to problem-solving is highly valued.
