Roles & Responsibilities

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Controlling & Cost Management, Management Consulting, Finance and/or Digital Transformation. Candidates are not expected to be experts in all these areas, but should be able to give lectures on at least two of them
  • Planning and implementation of research and development projects including publication activities in the field of business administration
  • Advising and supervising students to help them achieve their goals
  • Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses ensuring a high standard of academic achievement
  • Establishing partnerships with industry leaders and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Dubai location
  • Participate in university administration and committee work, actively supporting the success of UE
  • Advising prospective students

Requirements For Professorship

  • University studies completed with a master s degree
  • Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications
  • Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience in teaching lectures in the areas of Corporate Management, Finance and Controlling. Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage

  • Work experience in international and national companies
  • Ability to teach courses in English language
  • Ability to teach courses in German language is an advantage
  • Publication and research activity desired
  • Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
  • Organizational skills and eagerness to work together to advance the success and growth of the University
