Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic team of eye care professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care, including diagnosing and managing various eye diseases and visual system disorders. As an Optometrist, you will work closely with our patients to provide personalized care tailored to their specific needs. This role requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the latest advancements in optometric health. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of patient satisfaction, a dedication to staying current with the latest research and best practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.


Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect ocular diseases.
  • Diagnose and manage eye diseases and visual system disorders effectively.
  • Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses that correct vision issues.
  • Educate patients about eye health and preventive eye care practices.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
  • Keep detailed patient records, including examination findings and treatment plans.
  • Utilize advanced technology and equipment for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Identify and refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists as needed.
  • Stay current with developments in optometry by attending professional seminars.
  • Advise patients on proper vision care and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory healthcare standards.

Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Valid optometry license to practice as an optometrist.
  • Proven experience as an optometrist with a strong clinical background.
  • Knowledgeable in latest optometric advancements, treatments, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to empathize with patients.
  • Strong communication skills to explain treatments and diagnose conditions accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for maintaining patient records.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a professional eye care team.
