MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that quality and safe patient care is delivered by co-ordinating and facilitating the management of clinical and non-clinical resources as well as support services in the facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Provide managerial and leadership guidance to all multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality and safe patient care during shift
• To activate, co-ordinate and manage all clinical or non-clinical emergencies
• To provide effective and efficient operational guidance and support in the absence of Unit Manager or Head of Department
• To achieve the clinical quality according to set policies and procedures
• To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that contributes to team engagement
  
  

Required Education

Essential: Bachelor of Nursing from a recognised Nursing Institute

Desired: Master of Science in Nursing or related Healthcare field

Required Experience

Essential: At least 3-5 years senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital

Required Job Skills And Knowledge

• Application of the nursing scope of practice
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient care across disciplines
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Delivery of advanced nursing care in emergency or complicated situations
• Financial management principles
• Quality management and governance standards and best practice
• Risk management principles, systems and best practice
• Utilisation of relevant clinical equipment
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
