Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Lead and coordinate the MEP design process, providing technical expertise and guidance to design consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
  • Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and project requirements, while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Manage and monitor MEP construction activities on-site, conducting regular inspections, resolving technical issues, and ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into the overall project design and construction.
  • Develop and implement MEP commissioning plans, ensuring all systems are properly tested, calibrated, and operational before project handover.
  • Manage the MEP budget, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams after project completion, ensuring efficient and sustainable system performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and relevant codes and regulations to continuously improve MEP system design and implementation.
  • Ensure all MEP works are executed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards.
  • Demonstrates at least 10 years of experience in MEP engineering and project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of international building codes, standards, and regulations relevant to MEP systems.
  • Demonstrates experience in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Displays strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Exhibits proficiency in relevant software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design and analysis software.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
