  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate incident details, provide status updates, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and root-cause analyses, documenting findings and developing improvement plans.
  • Planning & Coordination:
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, IT and facilities teams to plan and schedule maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for critical systems.
  • Participate in planning and implementing infrastructure improvements, expansions, and upgrades to enhance system resilience and efficiency.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of essential components for quick repairs and maintenance.
  • Facilitate smooth handoffs between shifts, ensuring that all critical information is documented and communicated effectively to maintain operational continuity.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Oversee and analyse data from monitoring systems, tracking metrics like temperature, humidity, power usage, and system performance to proactively address any anomalies.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, incident responses, and system health, providing regular reports to senior management on critical environment system performance.
  • Ensure the team are utilizing internal computerised management system (CMMS) to track all equipment assets and complete work order requests for maintenance work.
  • Implement KPIs and operational metrics to assess team and system performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring efficient resource use.
  • Regularly inspect and monitor critical environment equipment, facilities, and grounds for unsafe or abnormal conditions, promptly escalating issues according to applicable policies and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training:
  • Identify opportunities for improving processes, system reliability, and team performance, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Recommend opportunities for system optimisation, energy efficiency and cost savings, contributing to the facilities overall operational goals.
  • Develop and implement training programs to keep the team up to date on best practices, new technologies, and industry standards in critical environment management.
  • Encourage professional development, providing team members with opportunities to obtain relevant certifications and attend industry specific training sessions.
