An MEP Estimator plays a critical role in the construction industry, specifically focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) components of construction projects. • Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare cost estimates for MEP systems.
• Collaborate with design engineers, architects, and contractors to accurately assess project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost analysis sheets and bid proposals for MEP aspects of construction projects.
• Analyze risks associated with project specifics to ensure realistic and competitive bid proposals.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of supplier and subcontractor pricing for accurate estimations.
• Review historical data from previous projects to improve forecasting accuracy and estimate reliability.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to validate cost estimates and budget considerations.
• Engage in continuous communication with clients to address queries and clarify cost-related aspects.
• Ensure all estimates meet established industry and project-specific standards and regulations.
• Regularly update project stakeholders on any changes or updates within the MEP estimation scope.
• Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in the estimation process.
• Prepare comprehensive and organized presentations of cost estimates for stakeholder review.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their cost impacts.
• Proficiency in estimation software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Exceptional analytical and detail-oriented skills with a focus on accuracy in estimations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards, local building codes, and regulatory requirements.
